Łukašenka inspecting arms company near Dziaržynsk

August 18, Pozirk. Alaksandar Łukašenka is inspecting a Kidma Tek plant in the village of Stańkava near Dziaržynsk in the Minsk region, two weeks after Ukraine declared sanctions against the company manufacturing automatic rifles and other military goods.
Two weeks ago, Kyiv added Kidma Tek, formerly known as BSVT Novyja Technalohii, as well as Tissa in Maladziečna, Minsk region, to its sanctions list for supplying weapons and parts for ballistic munitions to Russia.
During the inspection, the Belarusian ruler said that the company is doing a good job despite “flaws.” “You should carry on, and should not be afraid. You have learned to do it. This is a great job, especially if you break even through exports,” his press office quoted him as saying.
The company has presented Łukašenka with a “100-percent locally-made automatic rifle” VSK-100B.
Kidma Tek manufactures sights for firearms and armored vehicles, television and infrared systems, the Berserk unmanned anti-UAV system, the anti-aircraft system Trio that consists of the Strela-10 and Shilka anti-aircraft guns and a fire control vehicle and the Fleita multiple rocket launch system. It also repairs surface-to-ground and anti-tank missiles.
Kidma Tek has been sanctioned by Australia, Canada, the European Union, Japan, New Zealand, Switzerland, the United States and the UK.
