Temperature in Belarus hits record high since Nazi occupation

September 29, Pozirk. Belarus’ weather stations reported temperature record highs for the entire period of weather observations in the country on September 28, according to Biełhidramiet’s data.

The air warmed up to 26.6 degrees Celsius in Brest exceeding the previous record high registered in the city in 1965 with 25.5 degrees as well as the 25.8 degrees nationwide record high registered in 1942 in Nazi-occupied Pinsk.

A total of 29 local records were broken last day with 23 dating back to 1981, including in Minsk, Hrodna, Homiel and Mahiloŭ.
