Belarusian ideologist: no Belarusian soldiers take part “in special operation in Ukraine”

March 17, BPN. Not a single serviceman is taking part “in a special operation in Ukraine,” Volha Čamadanava, Minsk’s chief ideology officer and former spokesperson for the interior ministry, told soldiers at the 56th Communications Regiment on 16 March.

“We often have to remind everyone that the information war started a long time ago. Now it is very difficult to get unbiased information about the events outside Belarus,” Čamadanava said.

Leanid Kasinski, the defense ministry’s ideology chief on the EU sanctions list since March 2, accused the Western media of providing one-sided coverage of the military conflict in Ukraine and “of using the most sophisticated methods of influencing people.”

Addressing the personnel of the Brest-based 38th Guards Air Assault Brigade, Kasinki noted: “The special operation of the Russian armed forces on the territory of Ukraine is classified as a peace enforcement operation, aimed at the demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine in order to ensure security in the region.”
