Ukraine imposes new sanctions on Belarus
September 2, BPN. The Ukrainian government has approved a new package of restrictive measures against Belarus and Russia.
The sanctions list, drafted by the Ministry for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories, includes 99 individuals and 178 legal entities.
It is noted that sanctions have been imposed on enterprises of Russia’s military-industrial complex, officials of the national banks of Russia and Belarus, as well as these countries’ companies and nationals who contributed to Russia’s aggression against Ukraine and helped Russia in its efforts to circumvent sanctions.
The reintegration ministry does not name the individuals, only noting that the sanctions list includes Russian President Vladimir Putin’s daughters.
Belarusian companies are not specified in the report, and the list has not been published in full.
In July 2021, the Ukrainian government compiled a sanctions list of 52 Belarusian nationals involved in voter fraud and crackdown on protesters.
