Two Rabkova trial followers jailed
September 7, BPN. Human rights activist Nasta Łojka and Daniła Krašeŭski, a defendant’s friend, who were arrested outside the Minsk City Court on September 6, have been sentenced to 15 and 12 days in jail, respectively, the Viasna Human Rights Center reports.
District Judge Andrej Mlečka found Krašeŭski guilty of disseminating extremist content for retweeting posts critical of the government. Details of Łojka’s conviction have yet to be revealed.
At least 13 people, including the EU’s chargé d’affaires Evelina Schulz, defendants’ relatives and other court visitors were arrested following the closed-door trial of human rights activist Marfa Rabkova and others.
Other detainees, except for Łojka and Krašeŭski, have been freed.
