Łukašenka opponents deserve to die – senior police official
October 3, BPN. Some members of the opposition have gone mad and are possessed by the devil, therefore they deserve to die, Mikałaj Karpiankoŭ, deputy interior minister, told STV.
He claimed that the opposition plans “to enter Belarus, set off a war here and start its victorious campaign of liberation.”
Karpiankoŭ is notorious in Belarus for his cruelty during the suppression of the 2020 protests.
Opposition politician Pavieł Łatuška warned in August that Alaksandr Łukašenka wanted “death sentences handed down on a number of opposition activists who stay abroad to make them feel constantly threatened.”
