Defense ministers to participate in Łukašenka-Putin talks

December 17, BPN. The head of the Belarusian Defense Ministry’s international military cooperation department has said Defense Minister Viktar Chrenin and his Russian counterpart Sergei Shoigu will participate in the upcoming talks between the Belarusian and Russian presidents.

“Minsk is expected to host talks between the presidents of Belarus and Russia on security issues of the Union State. The defense ministers of Belarus and Russia will take part in the talks, in a restricted format,” Col. Valeryj Ravienka tweeted on December 16.

Vladimir Putin is planning to visit Minsk on December 19, Alaksandr Łukašenka’s press office reported. The Belarusian leader said economy and security will be discussed.
