Russian tourists account for 90 percent of Belarus’ travel exports

December 27, BPN. Russian tourists accounted for 90 percent of this year’s revenues from tourist services, Deputy Sports and Tourism Minister Aleh Andrejčyk has told reporters in Minsk.

In the 10 months, 393,000 Russians entered Belarus by air, he said. “This is 108 percent of the level in 2021. Russian tourists brought almost 90 percent of the $150 million in revenues from travel exports,” he said.

He added that his agency plans to boost ties with 15 to 20 Russian provinces, as well as with CIS member states and China, in the very near future.
