Belarus posts steepest industrial price rise in Russia-led economic union

December 28, BPN. Belarus posted an increase of 12.9 percent in industrial product prices in the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) from January to November, the Eurasian Economic Commission’s (EEC) statistical department reported.

Industrial product prices dropped by 1.1 percent in the EAEU as a whole, with Russia posting a 2.5 percent drop and Armenia, 3.8 percent.

Belarus was the only EAEU member that recorded a 5.9 percent decline in industrial production in the first 10 months of 2022, while other members reported growth, ranging from 0.1 percent in Russia to 14.3 percent in Kyrgyzstan.
