January 27, BPN. The crime rate per 100,000 population increased by 1.8 percent in Belarus in 2022, the interior ministry’s newspaper Na Strazhe reported.
The ministry recorded 952 crimes per 100,000 population compared to 935 a year earlier.
It explained the increase with fraud against senior citizens, who were often tricked to give money to criminals. These wrongdoings peaked in May.
