Belarus sends humanitarian aid to Turkey

February, BPN. An Il-76 military cargo aircraft carrying humanitarian aid has left for Turkey to provide earthquake relief, the defense ministry’s press office reported.

On February 12, Belarus sent over 25 tons of humanitarian aid to Syria, including food, medicines, essentials and clothes.

Two days later, 45 Belarusian military doctors went to Syria to help earthquake victims.

On February 6, a powerful earthquake hit Turkey and Syria. The death toll is estimated at 41,000, including about 35,500 victims in Turkey. The UN says the total number of victims may exceed 50,000.
