Belarus’ army deploys missile unit as part of a drill

February 24, BPN. A missile unit is “traveling to a designated area as part of a combat readiness check,” the Belarusian defense ministry’s press office reported.

The personnel will train in preparing “starting positions” and equipment for military use, the report reads.

The ministry has issued this announcement on February 24, the first anniversary of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

Authorities in Minsk denied Belarusian army troops’ involvement in combat operations on the Russian side. However, Belarus allowed Russian troops and weapons to move freely through the country, use its airspace, refuel and store military equipment and attack Ukraine from its territory.
