These plan is unacceptable because it would undermine Belarus’ nuclear-free status and push it towards absorption by Russia, she stressed and called for steps to prevent it.

Sullivan assured her of the full support of the United States for a free Belarus, Cichanoŭskaja’s press office told BPN.
The politician is visiting the United States from March 22 to 28.
On March 23, the US announced its intention to launch a strategic dialogue with the Belarusian opposition and civil society in late 2023. On the same day, the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) said its 38 member states, including the US, agreed to invoke the Moscow Mechanism with regard to Belarus.
