Air defense commander launches surprise drill

(Ministry of Defense)

December 15, Pozirk. A surprise drill of air defense forces has started on December 15, the Belarusian defense ministry reports.

“Units of anti-aircraft missile and electronic surveillance troops moved to the designated areas and started performing combat tasks” using S-300 and S-400 anti-aircraft missile systems and Rosa-RB low-altitude radar systems, it added.

Servicemen will reportedly train in detecting and destroying mock targets.

The Belarusian army is regularly conducting drills amid Russia’s ongoing war on Ukraine.

The military enlistment offices have recently updated the files of men eligible for military service, while the government introduced less stringent health requirements for potential soldiers.
