Łukašenka’s edict reinstates lower taxes for rural businesses

February 7, Pozirk. Alaksandar Łukašenka has signed Edict No. 42 to create additional incentives for trade, catering, and domestic services, the National Legal Internet Portal reported yesterday.

The amendments reinstate preferential terms for sole proprietors and companies in rural areas. They will pay income tax at a rate reduced by 50 percent from January 1, 2024 to December 31, 2028.

The edict also provides for exemptions from property tax, land tax and land rent.

The preferential terms had been suspended on January 1, 2023.
