Belarus’ foreign exchange reserves up 1.5 percent in February
March 7, Pozirk. Belarus’ gold and foreign exchange reserves rose by $125.1 million in February to $8.218 billion on March 1, the National Bank of Belarus reported.
The reserves increased by 1.5 percent last month after dropping 0.4 percent in January.
The regulator attributed the growth to an increase in foreign currency reserves by $146.2 million.
Monetary gold reserves fell by $10.7 million and reserves under special drawing rights (SDRs), by $10.4 million.
Gold and foreign exchange reserves are projected to amount to at least $6 billion in 2024.
