Bulgaria postpones Schengen visa issue in Minsk to April 15
April 2, Pozirk. The VFS Global visa services company will accept Schengen visa applications for processing at the Bulgarian embassy starting April 15 in Minsk and May 1 in Baranavičy, Brest, Hrodna, Homiel, Lida, Mahiloŭ, Pinsk and Viciebsk, the embassy’s website says.
The VFS Global website and its call center will offer necessary information for applicants starting April 8, it added.
Earlier reports said that both Romanian and Bulgarian embassies in Minsk planned to start issuing Schengen visas to Belarusians on April 1 as both countries partially joined the Schengen zone on March 31.
Over the past few years, Belarusians have been experiencing difficulties in making Schengen visa appointments. Reports say that intermediaries often offer appointments for a fee of up to €300 with a waiting time of six months.
