Yandex Music takes down Tor Band songs

September 18, Pozirk. Yandex Music, a Russian music streaming service, has removed songs by the Belarusian Tor Band at the request of Homiel district prosecutors.
The prosecutors said that in 2022, a court in Homiel found Tor Band music to be extremist content.
The service also deleted content from the Belarusian independent malanka.media and speeches by Adolf Hitler and Benito Mussolini, the prosecutors added.
The Tor Band was famous for its patriotic songs in 2020. Belarus has declared its “information products, social media and logo” extremist and sentenced the musicians to 7.5–9 years in prison.
Interior ministry adds 17 political prisoners, 20 others to its extremist list
