Israel’s attack may enable Russia to escalate in Europe—opposition politician

June 13, Pozirk. Israel’s attack on Iran may distract the United States from Ukraine and give Russia an opportunity for an escalation in Europe, Vadzim Kabančuk, the Belarusian opposition’s security chief, has said.
He pointed out that Russia can seize the chance to project its “power to other countries, including European Union countries, from Belarusian territory,” according to a statement released by the opposition’s United Transitional Cabinet.
“We know that almost half of foreign aid to Ukraine comes from the USA. Now that there is the war in the Middle East, it is obvious that part of this aid will be redirected there. The American leadership has already made a statement to this effect,” Kabančuk stressed.
