Žytkavičy man gets 18 months in prison for insulting Łukašenka

August 21, BPN. On August 19, the Žytkavičy District Court, Homiel region, sentenced local resident Dźmitryj Kryvulka to 18 months in prison for insulting Alaksandr Łukašenka, the Viasna Human Rights Center reported.

Judge Alaksandr Anoška found him guilty of insulting the head of state on social networks.

According to Paleskaja Viasna, Kryvulka was also charged with dissemination of extremist content for making that post, under the Administrative Offences Code.
