Independent mirror site blocked

August 21, BPN. In the morning of August 20, independent media outlet Reform.by said access to its mirror site Reform.news was blocked in Belarus.

“Our readers in Belarus report that they cannot directly access either Reform.by or Reform.news. The sites are available only through proxy services,” it said.

When trying to access the websites, users see a notification that “access to the source is limited pursuant to the Belarusian Ministry of Information’s decision” based on the law on mass media.

The Belarusian authorities blocked Reform.by on August 25, 2021, citing links to “extremist” sources.
