National foundation to be set up under Łukašenka’s aegis
August 23, BPN. Introducing the new head of his Property Management Office Juryj Nazaraŭ to officials on August 22, Alaksandr Łukašenka said he ordered to create “one national foundation” for charity purposes. The video clip of the Belarusian strongman’s speech was posted by Pul Pervogo, an unofficial Telegram channel of his press office.
“Many foundations and tiny foundations left Belarus. Some were simply eliminated by us, because you know what they were doing. They were making, trying to make, coups with foreign money. So when we studied these foundations’ work and so on, we had to drop them,” Łukašenka said.
According to him, this is not the first time he instructs a head of the office to create the organization. “Naturally, those sincere and honest people who want to do charity work in our land will be happy to come to this foundation. Because they will understand that not a single kopeck will go left or right, but will be used for noble purposes,” he said.
