Two new Estonian visa centers to start accepting visa applications on September 1

August 31, BPN. VFS Global operating the EU visa centers in Belarus has announced that Belarusians would be able to apply for Estonia, Finnish, and Swedish at its visa centers in Połack, Viciebsk region, and Babrujsk, Mahiloŭ region, starting September 1.

The visa centers will accept applications twice a week, on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

On August 12, Estonia decided against sending a new ambassador to Belarus after the current head of mission’s term expires.

Earlier, Estonian government limited the issue of work permits to Belarusian and Russian nationals, permitting them short-term employment only under valid visas issued by Estonia, while visas issued by other EU states will no longer be accepted. Belarusians and Russians will also not be able to apply for long-term visas for “the purpose of short-term employment.”
