Ukraine seizes 390 railway cars from Russian, Belarusian companies

September 2, BPN. Ukraine continues to confiscate Russian and Belarusian properties in its territory.

On September 2, the National Police of Ukraine announced the seizure of 390 railway cars belonging to two Belarusian and eight Russian enterprises with a total worth of about 400 million hryvnias ($10.9 million).

The companies are under investigation, suspected of financing actions aimed at changing Ukraine’s borders.

The Belarusian authorities openly support Russia in its war against Ukraine.

In July, three locomotives of the Belarusian Railway were arrested in the Kyiv region. According to the Security Service of Ukraine, they were involved in transporting Russian personnel, weapons, military equipment and logistics support to Ukraine’s northern borders. The locomotives also “participated in hostilities against the defense forces in the Kyiv and Chernihiv regions,” the police said.
