Turkish Airlines extends halt to flights between Istanbul, Minsk until November
September 5, BPN. Turkey’s flagship airline, Turkish Airlines, has once again extended the suspension of flights to several destinations, including passenger air service between Minsk and Istanbul, until October 31 inclusive. This also concerns the flights between Istanbul and Sochi, Rostov, and Yekaterinburg in Russia.
Turkish Airlines said earlier that it suspended passenger air service between Minsk and Istanbul until October.
The restrictions are caused by Russia’s war against Ukraine, resulting in the closure of the skies over Ukraine and partially over Belarus and Russia to civil aviation for security reasons.
The Belarusian national airline Belavia currently operates flights to Istanbul (flight time six and a half hours) as well as charters to Antalya and Bodrum.
