About 5,000 Ukrainians granted Belarusian citizenship in a year – Łukašenka
September 6, BPN. About 5,000 Ukrainians have received Belarusian passports in over a year, Alaksandr Łukašenka said at a September 6 meeting with the officials.
“They have tied their lives to Belarus. They comply with the law, raise their children, are employed and work well in agriculture, education, medicine and even science,” Łukašenka said.
He also noted that a total of 14,000 Belarusian citizenship applications were approved in the last five years.
