Cichanoŭskaja to take part in UN General Assembly session

September 8, BPN. Sv́iatłana Cichanoŭskaja will take part in the 77th UN General Assembly, her adviser Alaksandr Šłyk has told BPN.

According to him, the Belarusian opposition leader would have a number of high-profile meetings: “Some very important meetings with world leaders have already been scheduled.”

Šłyk stressed the importance of the General Assembly seeing “a representative of the Belarusian society, not of the illegitimate regime.”

The 77th session of the UN General Assembly is to open in New York on September 13.
