Belarus’ real income decline accelerates to 3.4 percent in January-July

September 16, BPN. Belarus’ real disposable income has been decreasing for the fourth month in a row, falling by 3.4 percent in the first seven months of 2022 year on year, the National Statistics Committee (Belstat) reported.

It dropped by 1.2 percent from January to April and by 2.7 percent, from January to June.

Real income had been increasing in the previous five years. The pace of growth had accelerated from 0.2 percent in July 2017 to 8.2 percent in March 2022.
