H&M to leave Belarus after sale

September 18, BPN. Fashion retailer H&M says it has decided to shut down its business in Belarus.

“We will temporarily reopen our three stores to sell out the remaining articles and will keep them open for a limited period of time,” the company’s press service told Onliner.by.

The reopening is scheduled for September 19.

H&M suspended sales in Belarus in early March 2022, amid Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. It had plans to reopen its three stores in August, but they didn’t materialize.

The opening of its first Belarusian store in 2019 drew an enormous crowd of shoppers.
