Soldier treated for gunshot injury

September 20, BPN. Medics in Belarus are fighting for the life of a soldier who received a gunshot wound to the head, while inspectors investigating the incident.

The 19-year-old soldier serves in the internal forces’ unit 3214 in Minsk, the Investigations Committee said.

The elite unit was directly involved in the suppression of post-election protests.

There were multiple reports of traumatic incidents in the Belarusian military this year.
