September 22, BPN. A district court in Minsk has sentenced human rights activist Nasta Łojka in jail to serve another 15-day term, the Viasna Human Rights Center reports.
Law enforcers arrested Łojka outside the Minsk City Court on September 6 after the judge delivered a verdict in a high-profile case against human rights advocates. A judge sentenced her to 15 days in jail for disorderly conduct.
After she served her sentence, Łojka was arrested again for behaving “defiantly,” according to the police report.
The activist was a member of the Human Constanta rights group. She worked in the field of repressive anti-extremism legislation and protection of foreigners’ rights.
