September 24, BPN. The limit of €1,000 for duty-free imports of goods for personal use in the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) countries has been extended until April 1, 2023, the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) reported.
The move should offset the “sanctions pressure” and “prevent shortages of essential goods and critical imports,” it said.
On April 15, the EAEU increased the duty-free limits of goods for personal use from €500 to €1,000 and from 25 to 31 kg. Initially, the regulation was to remain in force until October 1.
