Man to go on trial for intention to fight Russia in Ukraine
September 26, BPN. The Homiel Regional Court has received a criminal case against a 46-year-old man accused of having an intention to fight Russia in Ukraine, the Prosecutor General’s Office reported.
The defendant allegedly collected information on how to join a military unit of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The prosecutor also accused him of trying to cross into Ukraine illegally to participate in an armed conflict there without the authorization of the Belarusian state.
Belarusian courts have already handed down several prison sentences on similar charges this summer.
