Belarusian servicepeople off to Kazakhstan for three drills
September 27, BPN. The military contingent that will take part in three exercises has left for Kazakhstan, the Belarusian Ministry of Defense has said.
The ministry said Belarusian servicepeople will take part in the Interaction 2022 drill involving the Collective Security Treaty Organization’s collective rapid response force to practice preparing and conducting a joint operation to localize a cross-border armed conflict.
They will also participate in the Search 2022 special drill involving intelligence agencies and means. The drill is aimed at “organizing and conducting intelligence to prepare and carry out a joint operation,” the ministry said.
Finally, they will participate in the Echelon 2022 special drill with logistics forces and equipment. They will practice providing materiel and technical support.
The exercises are to be held from September 26 to October 13 at the Matybulak training ground, Kazakhstan.
The ministry said the exercises will involve the Belarusian Armed Forces’ servicepeople as well as special forces from the Ministry of Internal Affairs’ internal troops and the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
