Ukraine says pro-Russian Chechen troops arrive in Belarus
October 30, BPN. Russia continues transferring troops to Belarus, including the so-called Kadyrovites, soldiers led by pro-Russian Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov, the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces said in its morning operational report on October 30.
Russian military equipment arrived at the Brest railway station on October 26, while Russian soldiers were spotted in Brest and Małaryta in the Brest region, it noted.
Ukrainian military command also warned of the persisting threats of missile and drone attacks from Belarus.
On October 17, Ivan Tertel, chair of the Committee for the State Security (KGB), claimed that Belarusian volunteers fighting Russia in Ukraine plan to invade Belarus somewhere near Małaryta in November.
