KGB adds 10 opposition activists to terrorist list
November 17, BPN. The Belarusian Committee for State Security (KGB) has blacklisted 10 more people for what it describes as involvement in terrorist activities.
Among them are Pavieł Nikicienka, Ihar Arciuch, Ivan Jančanka and Siarhiej Pietrušenka, widely regarded as political prisoners. The others are Taćciana Trafimčyk, Maryja Famina, Maksim Frałoŭ, Siarhiej Nikicin, Dźmitryj Pleskačoŭ and Alaksandr Masievič.
Their charges included riots, incitement to hatred and calls for sanctions.
Those on the terrorist list are barred from receiving money transfers in prison.
There are 951 people on the list, including more than 200 Belarusian nationals.
