KGB adds seven people to its terrorist list
November 24, BPN. The Belarusian Committee for State Security (KGB) has blacklisted seven more people for what it describes as involvement in terrorist activities.
Among them are Dzianis Maksimaŭ, Sciapan Tałkačoŭ, Ivan Suprunčyk, Ihar Chrystaforaŭ, Pavieł Hančaryk, Siarhiej Fisiuk, and Volha Cybulskaja. Human rights groups consider them all political prisoners. Cybulskaja’s name features twice. She was added after being charged and after being convicted. Andrej Bykaŭ, accused of inciting hatred, is also on the list.
Earlier this month the KGB blacklisted a total of 17 people.
Those on the terrorist list are barred from receiving money transfers in prison.
The 959-entry list includes more than 200 Belarusian nationals.
