Biden: brave opposition leaders, people of Belarus keep on fighting for democracy
February 21, BPN. “Brave leaders of the opposition and the people of Belarus continue to fight for their democracy,” US President Joe Biden said in Poland on February 21.
Biden mentioned Belarus after praising the people of Poland for truly understanding “what solidarity means.” He also mentioned the people of Moldova that, he said, wanted to “live in freedom.”
The president addressed the world from Warsaw just days before the first anniversary of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. He blamed Vladimir Putin for waging a war of aggression that Russia would “never” win.
