March 1, BPN. Two men went on trial at Minsk’s Centralny District Court over an alleged attack on a police vehicle, the Viasna Human Rights Center reported.
Judge Dźmitry Karsiuk presides over the proceedings against Maksim Selaźnioŭ and Dźmitryj Marcinkievič.
The prosecutor accused them of blowing up a police car early on January 8 near the building of the Centralny Police Department in Minsk. They are charged with a terrorist act, illegal actions with firearms, and failure to report a crime.
Human rights defenders do not know for how long both defendants have been in custody.
