Minsk 13:12

Łukašenka, Putin to discuss security next week in Russia

July 21, BPN. Alaksandar Łukašenka and Vladimir Putin will discuss security and international affairs during Łukašenka’s visit to Russia on July 23, his press office has announced.

The announcement comes amid close cooperation between Minsk and Moscow, which is trying to prevent Kyiv’s troops from advancing into eastern Ukraine.

The talks will also focus on circumventing Western sanctions, economic cooperation, and integration.

Putin said today that aggression against Belarus would amount to aggression against Russia, emphasizing that both countries are part of the so-called Union State.

He accused Poland of planning to seize Belarusian and Ukrainian territories, a baseless claim often promoted by the Russian media.
