Belarusian rubel depreciates against US, Russian currencies

January 5, Pozirk. The rubel has depreciated against the US dollar and the Russian ruble at the Belarusian Currency and Stock Exchange.

Today it was traded at 3.1986 per dollar, down 0.02 percent from January 4, and at 3.5085 per 100 rubles, down 0.25 percent.

It rose to 3.4995 per euro and 4.439 per 10 yuan, an increase of 0.58 percent and 0.19 percent, respectively.

In the outgoing week (January 3–5), the rubel gained 0.16 percent against the greenback and 0.58 percent against the EU currency. It rose by 0.05 percent against the yuan but fell by 0.27 against the ruble.

The Belarusian currency lost 16.12 percent of its value against the dollar in 2023.
