Von der Leyen promises support to Cichanoŭskaja – transition cabinet

October 23, Pozirk. European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen assured the Belarusian opposition leader Śviatłana Cichanoŭskaja of support as long as the fight for the freedom of Belarus continues, the transition cabinet’s foreign affairs office said in its Telegram channel.

On October 22, both politicians addressed the German Junge Union’s forum in Braunschweig.

Praising the Belarusian politician’s speech at the European Parliament in mid-September, von der Leyen stressed that dictators will not be allowed to trample on freedom and human rights in Europe.
