Rubel climbs against US dollar at BCSE on March 17

March 17, Pozirk. The rubel has strengthened to 3.1158 against the US dollar at the March 17 trading session of the Belarusian Currency and Stock Exchange, hitting a seven-month high against the greenback.

The value is comparable to trading results of August 8, 2024, when rubel stood at 3.1073 against the greenback.

The Belarusian currency also rose to 3.3711 per euro and 4.2917 per 10 Chinese yuan but fell to 3.6229 per 100 Russian rubles.

Last week (March 10 – 14), the rubel gained 2.02 percent against the dollar, 1.88 percent against the euro and 1.44 percent against the yuan but lost 1.19 percent against the Russian ruble.

The Belarusian currency gained 8.54 percent against the dollar in the first two months of 2025.
