Pre-tax nominal average pay rise slows to 0.3 percent in July
August 24, BPN. Belarusians’ nominal average pay (before taxes) amounted to 1,933.1 rubels in July (some $770 at the current exchange rate), up 0.31 percent from June, the National Statistics Committee reports.
Staff in Minsk and the Minsk province earned more than in the other regions, with 2,595.8 and 1,942.4 rubels respectively. The nominal average pay amounted to 1,764.2 rubels in the Homiel province and 1,740.9 rubels in the Hrodna province. The Brest and Viciebsk provinces followed with 1,720.2 and 1,635.3 rubels. The Mahliloŭ province had the lowest average of 1.611 rubels.
The information and communication sector had the highest nominal average salary in July, 5,052.7 rubels. Other high-paying sectors were finance and insurance; professional, scientific and technical activities; and construction.
Nominal average pay rose by 3.54 percent in June.
