Belstat reports nominal pay increase in July
August 25, BPN. Nominal gross average pay (before taxes and other mandatory payments) in Belarus increased by 1.08 percent to 1,644 rubels in July ($642 at the exchange rate on July 25 at the Belarusian Stock and Currency Exchange), the National Statistical Committee (Belstat) reported.
In June, average nominal pay increased by 3.37 percent to 1,626.5 rubels.
Minsk is traditionally leading in nominal average pay with 2.265.7 rubels, while the Mahiloŭ region lags behind with 1,343.6 rubels.
Average pay in IT and communication sectors was the highest with 4,801 rubels, followed by financial and insurance professionals (2,549), industry (1,736), construction (1,685), wholesale and retail trade (1,490). Lower earnings were recorded in healthcare (1,375), agriculture (1.291), education (1.131), administrative and support services (1.098).
