Major pumpmaker Grundfos leaves Belarus, Russia “in line with its values”

August 26, BPN. Danish pump manufacturer Grundfos has moved to shut down its business in Russia and Belarus.

“The decision to fully close business in Russia and Belarus is reflected in the upcoming announcement of Grundfos’ half-year results. A significant one-off cost of DKK 851m [some $114,133] related to the closing of business in Russia and Belarus will be reported,” it said.

Grundfos suspended its operations in Russia and Belarus on March 3, 2022, amid Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. Seeing no signs of improvement, the company has now decided to leave these countries “in line with its values.”
