Łukašenka to meet with Putin in September in Uzbekistan

August 31, BPN. Alaksandr Łukašenka and Vladimir Putin will meet on the sidelines of the summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) scheduled to take place on September 15 and 6 in Samarkand, Uzbekistan, the Belarusian leader’s press office reported.

This will be the 16th time they make contact since the start of Russia’s war against Ukraine on February 24.

According to the Kremlin’s press office, Putin called Łukašenka on August 30 to wish him happy birthday and discuss Ukraine.
