Belarusians net sellers of foreign currency for 13 months

September 7, BPN. Belarusians sold $923 million and bought $868.4 million worth of foreign currency last month.

The populace has been a net seller of foreign currency for 13 months, according to the National Bank.

In January-August, individuals sold some $6.7 billion and bought about $6.2 billion worth of foreign currency.

According to the regulator, the country’s gold and currency reserves shrunk by $97.6 million to some $7.5 billion in August.
