Over 10,800 western neighbors use Belarus visa waiver last week

September 12, BPN. A total of 10,846 residents of Lithuania, Latvia and Poland used Belarus’ visa waiver last week, a 524 increase from the week before, the State Border Committee has said.

The figure comprises 7,173 Lithuanians, 2,970 Latvian residents and 703 Poles.

Some 233,100 western neighbors have visited Belarus since it introduced the visa waiver for the three countries.

Their authorities called on travelers to avoid the destination, citing safety concerns.
