Łukašenka meets with Chinese leader on sidelines of SCO summit

September 16, BPN. Alaksandr Łukašenka met with Chinese leader Xi Jinping on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization’s (SCO) summit in Samarkand, Uzbekistan.

Łukašenka is quoted by his press office as saying at the meeting that the parties “have found the strength and determination to bring their relations to a new level of iron brotherhood, exemplary all-round strategic cooperation and year-round partnership.”

He also stressed that Minsk “has always supported China in all important matters.”

Łukašenka also had meetings with Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
